The Civil Aviation Authority of The Bahamas (CAA-B) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to host the Fourth Civil Aviation Legal Advisers Forum (CALAF/4) in Nassau, The Bahamas, from 27 to 29 May 2026.
The MOU was formally signed during the 42nd ICAO Assembly (A42) by CAA-B’s Director General Ms. Chequita Johnson and ICAO Secretary General Mr. Juan Carlos Salazar, marking a significant milestone in The Bahamas’ collaboration with the international aviation community.
CALAF/4 is expected to draw wide participation from global aviation legal experts, regulators, and industry leaders. The three-day event will feature an engaging program of high-level discussions, specialized workshops, and networking sessions, all aimed at addressing emerging legal challenges and strengthening international cooperation in aviation law.
By hosting this prestigious forum, CAA-B demonstrates its continued leadership and commitment to advancing ICAO’s strategic goals, particularly in promoting the development and harmonization of air law instruments and fostering collaboration among States. This partnership further reinforces The Bahamas’ growing role as a regional hub for aviation dialogue and innovation.
