Mandatory and Voluntary Reporting

Confidentially report Security Threats or Incidents and Occurrences using the Civil Aviation Authority Bahamas online reporting system by selecting either the "Report A Security Threat" or "Report a Safety Occurrence or Incident buttons below. You also have the option to download the Aviation Security and Facilitation Confidential reporting form for submission.

The Mandatory reporting system is an essential part of the overall monitoring function of the Civil Aviation Authority Bahamas. The objective of the occurrence reporting, collection, investigation and analysis systems required by CAR OPS 1/2A/2H/3/4/5 CAR AIR 1 and CAR 145 is to use the reported information to contribute to the improvement of aviation safety, and not to attribute blame, impose fines or take other enforcement actions.

The key objective of the Voluntary and confidential reporting system is to enhance the safety and security of aviation activities through the collection of reports on actual or potential safety or security deficiencies that would otherwise not be reported through other channels. Such reports may involve occurrences, hazards or threats relevant to the safety and security of our aviation activities. This system does not eliminate the need for formal reporting of accidents and incidents, as well as the submission of mandatory occurrence reports to the CAA-B.
