The Personnel Licencing department, referred to as (PEL), is the pulse of the Civil Aviation Authority Bahamas (CAA-B). The PEL department has a dynamic team who is responsible for ensuring that aviation licence, rating, certificate, approval holders, are properly trained, competent, qualified, and subsequently licenced in order to carry out their individual functions.
Before issuing or validating a licence, The PEL department must satisfy itself that the applicant meets all the ICAO standards of experience, knowledge and proficiency and other requirements, so as to be competent to perform the functions authorized under the privileges granted by the licence as specified in ANNEX 1 and Civil Aviation Regulations (CARs).
Additionally, all documentation justifying issuance of aviation licence, rating, certificate, and approvals falls under the remit of PEL. Application and supporting documentation may be submitted through pelinfo@caabahamas.com.
